A man was found dead in his car in front of Bung Karno University campus in Salemba, Central Jakarta early on Thursday morning, police said.

Comr. Suwondo, chief of Central Jakarta Police crime unit, said that the man was identified as Rido S Immanuel of Jl. Delima Asri No. 22, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.

"He was found dead in his blue Toyota Vios," he said Thursday as quoted by kompas.com.

Suwondo said the vehicle was parked on Jl. Cikini Raya. The victim was found with a foam-like discharge in his mouth.

"We found a pair of state prosecutor uniforms and a prosecutor's ID in the car. We suspect the victim was a state prosecutor, but we are still working to confirm it," he said.

Witnesses said the car had been parked since around 5 p.m. Wednesday and they did not see any suspicious activity near the car until the man was found dead. -The Jakarta Post/ANN
