A MAN who punched a pedestrian in the eye was fined $4,000 on Wednesday.

Lawrence Subhas Bose, 35, who pleaded guilty, was making a turn from Geylang Road into Lorong 16 Geylang in his van on Jan 3 when Mr Luke Yi Sang Wook, 33, an Australian consultant, tapped on his vehicle panel as he felt the van had not given way to him.

Bose, unemployed, asked Mr Yi to stop but the victim continued walking along Geylang Road.
