KOTA TINGGI, Malaysia - A drug syndicate that catered to the Indonesian market was busted with the arrest of two men and seizure of 28,250 Eramin 5 pills worth RM840,000 (S$345,000).

Acting on a tip-off police arrested the two, aged 32 and 37, as they were about to board a boat near the Telok Sengat jetty at about 5.10pm on Friday.

Kota Tinggi deputy OCPD Deputy Supt Muhammad Shamsuddin said "They were from Johor Baru and en route to Batam to deliver the drugs.

"We believe the syndicate had been in operation for more than three months," he said, adding that police had contacted their counterparts in Indonesia on the matter.

Anyone with information should contact the police hotline at 07-2212 999 or the nearest police station.
