TWO youth who robbed a taxi driver on Tuesday morning were arrested about an hour later.

The 56-year-old taxi driver had stopped his taxi at around 4.10am to drop the 17 and 19-year-old suspects along Upper Bukit Timah Road, opposite Bukit Timah Plaza, after picking them up at Zouk Disco.

One of the youths told the driver that he had dropped some coins under the seat. As the driver was looking for the coins, the second suspect grabbed the driver's wallet. Both suspects then fled the taxi towards King Albert Park.
