Taxi robber charged

A 41-YEAR-OLD man was charged in court on Monday (oct 19) with armed robbery of $150 from a cabby last Sunday.

Cheok Chin Chong is alleged to have robbed Mr Ismail Mohamed Sidek, 46, of the sum inside an SMRT taxi along Sims Avenue at about 1.50am while armed with a 13cm-long knife.

He was remanded for a week for further investigation.
