KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA - Two men armed with guns carried out a spate of robberies within three hours here yesterday and got away with at least RM70,000 (S$28,900) in cash.

The culprits first targetted a driving school in Jalan Pudu at about 9.15am and escaped with RM400 (S$165).

Fifteen minutes later they walked to a money changer near Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock and robbed the staff of RM70,000 at gunpoint.

"Later, they tried to rob someone in Brickfields but was unsuccessful," said city CID chief SAC II Datuk Ku Chin Wah.

He said the suspects then continued their crime spree by robbing a furniture shop in Taman Seri Sinar at 12.05pm.

They got away with a mini electric motorcycle worth RM1,000.
