Canadian, 2 Sri Lankans arrested with 104 forged credit cards

Crime Suppression Division police have arrested a Canadian and two Sri Lankans in Bangkok Sunday for allegedly using forged credit cards to draw cash from ATMs.

Sivapriyan Sivapakiyarajah, 24, a Canadian and two Sri Lankan friends - Ajathan Balendran, 22, and Venkadeswaran Maheswaran, 28 - were arrested at their room in the Raja Hotel on Soi Sukhumvit 4 in Bangkok's Klongtoey district on Sunday.

Police seized 104 forged credit cards and a magnetic strip reader/writer and two notebook computers were seized from them.

Police were alerted by a working committee of the bankers club that some foreigners were using forged credit cards to draw cash from ATM machines in the country.
