KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA - A foreign maid was repeatedly raped by her employer's elder brother, who had "borrowed" her for about a month to do house chores.

The 25-year-old woman's plight came to light recently when she managed to contact her agent, who lodged a police report.

A police source said the woman's ordeal began on Sept 23 when the man, in his 40s, went to his younger sister's house in Wangsa Maju to "borrow" her to help clean up his new house in Bangi.

While driving the maid to his house, the man made sexual advances which she spurned.

"The suspect then drove to a secluded spot and raped her in the back seat of his car," the source said.

She was raped again when they arrived at the house, the source added.

The man allegedly raped the woman over the next few weeks.

After about a month, the man sent her back to his sister's house.

"The victim confided in her employer about what had happened but she did not believe her. Instead, she was accused of making up stories to escape from doing her chores," the source said.

The suspect was picked up from his house early this week and is being remanded.

Kajang police chief Assistant Commissioner Shakaruddin Che Mood confirmed the case.
