M-cyclist dies in freak accident

JOHOR BARU, Malaysia: A motorcyclist died in a freak accident yesterday when a tyre spun off from a lorry and slammed into him.

Store worker Nallasamy Visramoni, 29, was thrown off his motorcycle and died on the spot.

Nallasamy was travelling to Skudai when the accident occured at 3.20pm at Km10.7 on the Johor Baru-Skudai Highway.

Magesh Lachamanaidu, who was driving behind the lorry, said he saw the vehicle's right back tyre spinning unsteadily for several kilometres before the accident.

Magesh said his warnings to the driver before the accident went unheeded.
