PETALING JAYA, MALAYSIA: Contractor Ng Kam Ming spent Christmas Eve saying goodbye to his girlfriend at a hotel. On Christmas Day, he went missing and yesterday, the 28-year-old was found sprawled in a pool of blood at the hotel's parking area.

Ng, known as Danny among his friends, was last seen with his girlfriend, Tung Jo Vial, 22, on Christmas Eve at a hotel here.

He, however, left the hotel room when Tung was still asleep.

Little did she know that it would be their last night together. But he had left a note for her and his family.

His departing message to Tung was:

"It was really a perfect night and Christmas to be with you. Forgive me and be strong."

He also admitted in his note that he had tried to commit suicide twice and was making a third attempt.

He also wrote that he had mental problems and was severely depressed.

The hotel's CCTV recordings showed Danny loitering around the hotel's premises at 6.17am on Dec 25.

Subang Jaya deputy OCPD Supt Abd Aziz Abd Majid said Danny was found dead by the hotel's security guards at the parking lot at about 10.45am. It is believed that he had fallen four storeys to his death. Police have classified the case as sudden death.

Prior to his disappearance, he had told his family numerous times that he would run away because of his depression.

"We realised the changes in Danny in August when he returned from a trip to Thailand. After that, he had often told us that it was hard for him to face the world," Tung said.
