GEORGE TOWN - A 19-year-old was charged at the magistrate's court yesterday with killing her newborn baby girl in a toilet.

Nurul Syuhada Shamsudin, of Parit Buntar, is alleged to have murdered the infant in a female toilet at Jabil Circuit Plant One, located at the Free Industrial Zone in Bayan Lepas, about 12.30am on Dec 31.

Magistrate Norhayati Johar fixed Feb 19 for mention pending the post-mortem and chemistry reports.

Deputy public prosecutor Tan Guat Cheng prosecuted.

It was reported that a female cleaner found the infant's body inside the toilet bowl about 2.30pm.
