KOTA BARU: An unknown assailant threw an axe at the car of controversial blogger Kickdefella on Sunday night, smashing its rear windscreen.

The car was parked at his home in Kampung Gu in Kubang Kerian.

Syed Azidi Syed Abdul Aziz, 38, later lodged a police report.

In relating the incident, Syed Azidi said yesterday he was at home with his family when he heard a loud noise.

"When I came out, I was surprised to find my car's rear windscreen smashed.

"I found a 30cm axe near the car," he said.

Syed Azidi said he believed the attack was connected to his blog in which he had written exposes on many alleged wrongdoings in the Kelantan Mentri Besar Incorporated, and about the family of Kelantan Mentri Besar Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat.

"I strongly believe that this attack had something to do with my (blog) entries," he added.

Meanwhile, Kota Baru police chief ACP Zahruddin Abdullah, who was also at the scene said police would investigate the incident.
