TAIPEI, Taiwan -- A Keelung lottery retailer was robbed of lottery tickets worth NT$25,000 yesterday afternoon, the Keelung Police Department said. The suspect is still at large.

According to the retailer owner surnamed Chen, the suspect approached him as a customer and asked to buy 25 lottery tickets. Chen said he did not suspect the robber's intention because the suspect had bought tickets from his store several times.

After Chen had handed over the tickets, the robber then ran off with the 25 limited holiday edition lottery tickets, each valued at NT$1,000.

Police was called to the scene to track the unidentified suspect as of yesterday.

According to Taiwan Lottery, each of the robbed tickets has a 70.11 percent winning chance. The top prize is NT$12 million for these holiday edition lottery tickets.
