MALAYSIA,KUANTAN: Four robbers, dressed in Ninja outfits, struck at two homes in Rompin early yesterday morning and escaped with RM14,000 (S$5900) in cash and valuables.
The robbers first struck at a home in Kampung Alai, Kota Bahagia, at 3am and had escaped with RM3,000 (S$1269).
The same gang was believed to have struck at a second home a few hours later in Muadzam Shah where they robbed a senior citizen of RM11,000 (S$4653) in cash and valuables.
A Pahang police spokesman said the suspects were armed with parang and metal cutters and spoke with a foreign accent.
The spokesman said in the first incident, the robbers entered the house through the kitchen window before tying up the house owner, his wife and father-in-law.
In the second incident, the gang again entered through the kitchen window and confronted the occupants before tying them up.
They escaped in the victim's car before abandoning it some 12km away.
