The daily also reported that a girl was nearly raped and sodomised by a 24-year-old man she met through the Internet.

The man had asked her out for a body massage in a hotel after they knew each other for just five days.

The girl is said to have to been hypnotised by the man. He told her that she was suffering from various diseases including cancer. The man claimed he could cure her.

After talking for awhile the man asked her to take off her clothes. He then threatened to tie her up and beat her when she refused.

When she shouted for help, he managed to flee, taking her laptop and RM3,000 ($1,273). The girl's family member later accompanied her to lodge a police report.
