Singapore, October 6, 2010 - Three teenaged boys were seen crawling out of a mini van after it lost control and overturned in a Woodlands housing estate this afternoon.
An eye-witness said the accident happened just metres away from a coffeeshop, opposite Woodlands Ring Secondary School.
Witnesses saw the vehicle skidding before hitting the road divider and flipping on its side.
Said housewife Yvonne Ho, 24: "There were only three passengers inside - all young Chinese boys, who ran immediately after the accident."
She said the vehicle engine was left on after it was abandoned and 'pop pop' sounds could be heard, attracting hordes of on-lookers standing from a safe distance.
A female commuter waiting at the bus-stop right in front of the accident called the cops, who arrived 5minutes after it happened - past 3pm.
Both sides of the road have been closed to facilitate the removal of the vehicle.
