25 nabbed for allegedly helping loansharks

POLICE arrested 17 men and eight women, aged between 18 and 53, for suspected involvement in unlicensed moneylending activities in an islandwide operation conducted over the past two days.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were believed to have allowed their bank accounts to be used for the collection of debts.

Investigations are ongoing.
