KANGAR - A security guard at the Wang Kelian duty free complex near here pleaded guilty in the Sessions Court yesterday to raping his 12-year-old daughter last month.

He committed the offence at a teakwood farm at Felcra Lubuk Sireh on Nov 22.

Judge Wan Norzannuar Wan Ahmad set Jan 11 for sentencing.

The 38-year-old man, who was unrepresented, expressed remorse.

He was denied bail and was ordered to be imprisoned pending sentencing.

According to the facts of the case, the man was arrested on Nov 23 following a report lodged at the Padang Besar police station by the girl, who was accompanied by her grandmother.

The girl had earlier complained to her grandmother of pain in her private parts on Nov 22.
