Analyst: Porn, dirty video games cause rape

Online pornography and video games with sexual elements are among the causes for youths to commit rape, Berita Harian reported.

Criminal analyst Datuk Akhbar Satar theorised that juveniles pick up criminal behaviour by mimicking and imitating violent acts they see.

"In several developed countries, pornography stimulates youth into becoming rapists.

"There was a case where a 15-year-old boy raped a nine-year-old girl after watching his father's porn," he said.

Citing another case in Florida, United States, he said a nine-year-old boy molested an eight-month-old baby with a pencil after being influenced by his mother's collection of porn videos.
