Trio arrested in connection with vehicle theft

Two men and a women between the ages of 22 and 25 years were arrested in Bukit Batok on Aug 7 in connection to a theft from vehicle offence.

The police had received a call at about 3.30am on the same day reporting the presence of suspicious men loitering around a heavy vehicle carpark in Woodlands.

However, the group had left before the police arrived. The police officers were then given a description of the vehicle that the group left in and spotted them in Bukit Batok.

The group were searched by the police officers and a stash of eight heavy vehicle tyre rim covers were found in their vehicle.

The group were then arrested. If found guilty they can be jailed up to three years and/or receive a fine.
