Former Health Minister and MCA vice president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek should reveal the culprits responsible for his political downfall, said MCA vice-president Datuk Ong Tee Kiat.
By doing this, Ong, who is also Deputy Higher Education Minister, said Dr Chua could help shed more light on the perpetrators who resorted to video-taping him in a compromising position with a woman in bringing about his downfall.
"I read from the papers allegations made by Dr Chua about his political enemies, but there are no further details. I believe the public, including myself, would like to know who the responsible people are.
"It is unfair for us to make wild guesses based on what he (Dr Chua) said. So I welcome it if he is willing to reveal who is behind all this. I like to know more details about this case," he told reporters after holding a meeting with his constituents in Taman Muda here today.
He was asked to comment on Dr Chua's interview with the Press in Putrajaya yesterday in which the former health minister claimed that his downfall was due to political rivalry.
Dr Chua resigned as Health Minister and Member of Parliament for Labis as well as all party posts on Wednesday, a day after admitting that the man in a sex video that was widely circulating in Johor, was him.
Ong added that if Dr Chua could reveal more details, it could help to stop any kind of negative political culture in the country.
"Let's make this a lesson for everyone. We need to address it before it develops into some kind of unhealthy political culture.
"Anything bad must be weeded out," said Ong. - BERNAMA
