When cows come home on a city road

MOO-VING IN: The city dwellers are still away for the Chinese New Year festivities - and this herd of cows seem to have "taken over" a section of Jalan Sentul linking to the Mahameru Highway in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

About 50 cows were seen crossing the road to get to their cowshed yesterday.

The cowherd, who declined to be named, said he decided to take a shortcut to the shed as the road was practically deserted.

The Star photographer Abdul Rahman Senin, who was passing by, took this photograph at 5.10pm, a time when rush-hour traffic would see cars stuck bumper-to-bumper on a normal day.

"Since the roads are clear, I decided to use the shortcut," said the cowherd, who otherwise would have to take a new, but longer, route.
