KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA: Local stars such as Camelia, Datuk Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin, rap group KRU's Norman Abd Halim and Datin Seri Normala Samsuddin have joined the campaign fever.
While Camelia took a free ride on Petra Jaya Barisan Nasional incumbent Fadillah Yusof's bicycle as the latter rode through Kampung Bedil in Petra Jaya, Sarawak, the demure Normala was almost charged at by a pregnant cow while campaigning for her husband in Padang Besar.
Her husband Datuk Seri Azmi Khalid, the incumbent MP for Padang Besar, was not around in the 11.15am incident as he was campaigning elsewhere.
Luckily for Normala, 44, the cow did not harm her as it was tied to a tree.
Normala had earlier visited some handicapped and senior citizens in the village.
On Saturday, she had joined a convoy with the Padang Besar Puteri Umno to Kampung Tasoh to put up posters of her husband.
Meanwhile pop diva Siti Nurhaliza surprised Gemas constituents when she turned up on Friday night to show her support for Barisan Nasional candidates.
Norman kick-started his campaign in Malacca on Saturday after attending the Duyung roadshow promotion.
(Duyung, KRU's latest movie production, is scheduled to open in cinemas on March 6.)
Norman tagged along to woo support for Barisan's Tangga Batu incumbent MP Datuk Idris Harun.
