Saiful shows up in public

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA - The man in the news - Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan - was yesterday seen in public for the first time after his sodomy allegation against Parti Keadilan Rakyat de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

He was at the Brickfields police station (left) from 3pm for his statement to be recorded.

Sporting a long-sleeved white shirt and dark pants and escorted by a detective, Saiful looked calm when he was photographed being taken into one of the rooms at the station.

His family was reported as saying that Saiful had not returned home after he had lodged the sodomy report against Anwar on Saturday evening.

Their fears over his safety were put to rest yesterday when he was seen at the Brickfields police station.
