Wan Azizah: It's up to speaker to decide
Sun, Jul 13, 2008
The New Straits Times

GEORGE TOWN, MALAYSIA: The parliamentary opposition leader says it is up to the speaker whether to allow Pakatan Rakyat's emergency motion of no-confidence in the prime minister.

PKR chief Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said no second motion would be filed if Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia rejects the first.

She was speaking after receiving the Darjah Panglima Pangkuan Negeri (DPPN) award, which carries the title Datuk Seri, yesterday in conjunction with the 70th birthday of Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Abdul Rahman Abbas.

She said the support for the PR motion from SAPP was "good", but there have been no discussions on it with the Sabah Progressive Party.
