The New Straits Times
>KUALA TERENGGANU, Malaysia: The girl, a college student, was saved by her 20-year-old brother who apparently scared off their elder brother who had tried to rape her.

In the 2.30am incident, the 28-year-old brother allegedly jumped out of his sister's bedroom window in his haste to escape his younger brother.

With only a towel wrapped around his waist, the older brother later returned and told his younger brother that he had chased an intruder who had broken into their house.

An argument broke out between the two and the noise, coupled with the crying of their traumatised sister, woke up their 54-year-old father.

On hearing what had happened, the angry farmer stormed out of the house and lodged a report at the Manir police station at 3.50am.

State Criminal Investigation department head Assistant Commissioner Mohd Fauzi Abduri said a team of police officers went to the house and arrested the older brother.
