>KUALA TERENGGANU, Malaysia: Four policemen from the anti-narcotics department had arrested two teenagers on a motorcycle for drug offences in Jalan Sultan Zainal Abidin.

While escorting the teenagers to the police station here at 3am, the policemen, who were also riding motorcycles, found themselves surrounded by a group of 25 motorcyclists.

The group then proceeded to assault them.

During the scuffle, the four policemen overpowered and arrested two of their attackers.

They had to walk about a kilometre back to the station with the two men as they had abandoned their machines during the melee.

The policemen only suffered light injuries in the attack.

They sought outpatient treatment at Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital.

The two teenagers who were first arrested managed to escape.

However, they were rearrested about 10.30am in Jalan Hiliran.
