Discount up to AirAsia
Thu, Aug 28, 2008
NST
>IT is up to no-frills airline AirAsia to decide whether it will implement a fixed cheap rate for senior citizens. Deputy Transport Minister Tan Sri Joseph Kurup said the government had no problem discussing the proposal with AirAsia. Replying to a supplementary question from Datuk Ibrahim Ali (Ind-Pasir Mas), Kurup noted that AirAsia was already offering cheap fares. "Since the service is already cheap, AirAsia does not offer 50 per cent discounts to senior citizens," he said.
