A BUSINESSMAN almost suffered facial injuries when the cellphone he was using exploded suddenly, Kosmo! reported.

According to the man, who wanted to be known as Yahaya, the phone exploded when he was recharging it.

"I was on the phone with my friend when the battery went low. When I connected the wire, the phone felt hot and I saw sparks."

Yahaya, 45, said he threw the phone out of his house and heard a loud explosion, adding that he had bought the China-made phone very cheaply.
