New Straits Times
>Pulai Umno division chief Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed offered himself for the post yesterday, following in the footsteps of Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam and supreme council member Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

"I am representing a new generation that is not from the administration of former president Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad nor the current one of Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi," said Nur Jazlan, who is the son of former Umno secretary-general Tan Sri Mohamed Rahmat.

"I will not be seen as continuing their legacy."
