MALAYSIA, KOTA BARU: The discovery of a small, white bundle left behind a bank manager's home in Jalan Telipot, here, has police suspecting that his family is being threatened.

The bundle, discovered by 10-year-old Nor Atirah Ahmed Azman of SK Sri Aman, here, had caused quite a stir.

Neighbours thought it was a shroud containing a dead baby as it was tied in three places, similar to the Islamic way of preparing a body for burial.

Police, however, found it to contain white cotton wool shaped like a baby, the top tied with yellow cloth.

They later questioned the bank manager who lived in the double-storey terrace house with his wife and children.

"We suspect someone is using the bundle to threaten the family," said a police spokes-man.
