THERE is a strong case against actor Norman Hakim and starlet Suhaiza Suhaimi or Memey who are accused of khalwat, according to Harian Metro.

Selangor Religious Department (Jais) enforcement unit head Shahrom Maarop said the couple could be charged at the Syariah Lower Court in Gombak in January.

He said his officers, who conducted the raid and found the couple at Norman's office in Ukay Perdana recently, were still collecting evidence.

Shahrom said Norman was not on the ground floor of the building. He was hiding in a store allegedly in a suspicious manner on the upper floor.

He said the door on the upper floor was opened by Norman's brother who was believed to have rushed there when the raid was conducted.

Shahrom said his officers would normally carry out surveillance before conducting a raid.
