Woman who fell from rambutan tree lay injured for 2 days before being found

KUCHING, MALAYSIA - A 58-year-old woman fell from a rambutan tree and lay injured for two days before she was found.

The woman, identified as Chin, was taken to Sarawak Hospital and treated for broken ribs. Her condition was listed as stable.

The incident occurred at a secluded area along Jalan Nanas in Satok on Sunday when Chin went to pluck rambutans.

Moments after climbing a tree and collecting the fruit, the woman lost her footing and fell about 3m. She could not move and contact anyone.

Her only hope was for a passer-by to find her and help only came about 6am today when another woman stumbled upon Chin.
