A bogus investment agent cheated several local artistes of their money in a scam, reported Kosmo! Ahad.

Singer Hattan claimed that he and other artistes were conned and lost money amounting to millions, after a woman who claimed to be an investment agent disappeared in July with their money. He also admitted that he used RM50,000(S$21 200) from his son's Amanah Saham Didik account for the "investment."

It was learnt that the woman had been named in four previous police cases.

Politicians, VIPs, corporate figures and government senior officers were also said to have fallen victim to the scam.

Singer Amy of rock band Search lost RM1mil while singers Awie and Misha Omar reportedly lost thousands of ringgit.
