MALAYSIA - THE divorce of TV3 personality Zakiah Anas and her husband Mohamad Yusof Mohamad Taib at the Shah Alam Syariah court was highlighted by all the Malay dailies.

Zakiah, 42, is applying for a divorce from her husband of 15 years due to irreconcilable differences.

According to her lawyer Azmi Mohd Rais, Zakiah filed for the divorce under Section 47 of the the Selangor Islamic Family Enactment 2003 from Mohamad Yusof, 46, in October last year.

On Thursday, Zakiah was in court for the proceedings but Mohamad Yusof was not.

Azmi told Kosmo! that Zakiah had applied for the case to be re-mentioned at another date as the defendant had sent a SMS asking for more time to think over the matter.

The couple have two sons, Aliman Muzammil 14 and Amir Muzaffar, 12.
