Thu, Mar 12, 2009
The New Straits Times
>THERE is no need to station soldiers in high-security areas, such as airports, despite the rising incidence of crime, Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar said yesterday. "We have more than enough police personnel at strategic areas such as the Kuala Lumpur International Airport," he said in reply to a question from Datuk Seri Tengku Azlan Sultan Abu Bakar (BN-Jerantut). To a supplementary question by Datuk Johari Abdul (PKR-Sungai Petani), efforts were being made to ensure that Rela members were well-trained to assist police.
