Integrity reminder for civil servants

The New Straits Times

KAMPAR, Malaysia: Members of the state civil service have been reminded to carry out their duties with utmost dedication and integrity at all times.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir said they must not misuse their power and must keep away from graft.

"Do not play favouritism either. Carry out your duties in a fair and transparent manner," he said at the proclamation of Kampar as the state's 10th district yesterday.

Zambry said their performance was not gauged merely by their level of intellectualism or academic achievement.

"Equally important is one's spirituality and level of integrity. Only then can a civil servant perform his duties to the optimum." -NST
