KUANTAN, Malaysia: A heated argument through SMS turned into a tense drama when a 22-year-old woman tried to jump from the third floor of a shopping complex in Kuantan on Monday.

The incident happened when the mother of four was helping her parents at one of the outlets in the shopping complex.

She had been exchanging SMSes with her husband, who was working at a quarry in Kulim, Kedah, when she suddenly burst into tears about noon and ran to the third floor of the parking lot and got out onto the ledge.

A woman security guard, however, managed to coax the distraught woman out of jumping before police arrived at about 1pm.
