End of ride for trishaw man

GEORGE TOWN, Malaysia: Trishaw rider Frankie Tan Ming Khong finally made his last stop, at the St Nicholas Home, George Town, yesterday.

Tan started his trishaw ride from Malacca on June 6 and has since pedalled for more than three weeks, collecting more than RM150,000 ($61,830) for charity in the process.

The beneficiaries include the National Council for the Blind, Women's Aid Organisation and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Malacca.

Tan was accompanied by two friends, Ricky Soh Chor Hui and Huang Kok Cherng, who followed him in a car throughout the journey.
