Minister is unfair, says DAP's Boo
Tue, Jul 07, 2009
The New Straits Times

JOHOR BARU, MALAYSIA - The state DAP chief has described as unfair a statement made against him by Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.

Dr Boo Cheng Hau said yesterday it was not fair for Hishammuddin to invoke the law against him over views on the Internal Security Act that he had expressed at a forum in Batu Pahat recently.

Instead, he said the minister should find out what he had said at the forum organised by the Batu Pahat Chinese Association.

He said only reporters from the Chinese dailies covered the event held in Mandarin, and "none of the Chinese dailies made an issue out of it".

He said he did not understand where a local Malay daily based its reports to the extent of misquoting him.
