Malaysians weep for Jackson too

PETALING JAYA, MALAYSIA: The bye-byes have been said but the King of Pop still reigns in the hearts of most Malaysians who stayed up to watch the public memorial for Michael Jackson.

"He will be remembered forever," said international school teacher Kanchana Latchana, 25, who wept as she watched the memorial service.

As for G. Rajeswaren, 31, a Jackson impersonator, he said: "I still can't believe he's gone."

Elancheyran K.P. Muthu, 52, a government servant from Alor Setar, said the superstar's sensational "moonwalk" would be forever etched in the people's minds.

There will never be another Michael Jackson, he said.

In Johor Baru, there will be a special commemoration of Jackson during the annual Johor Baru Arts Festival beginning today.
