PETALING JAYA, MALAYSIA: Police are still looking for state assemblyman Elizabeth Wong's former boyfriend Hilmi Malek to assist in investigations into the distribution of revealing pictures of Wong.
Kuala Lumpur CID chief Senior Asst Comm (II) Datuk Ku Chin Wah said the latest information police received on Hilmi was that he was in hiding in Indonesia.
"We are still looking for him (Hilmi) to provide some vital information so that we can complete our investigations," he told mStar.
In March, the courts issued a warrant of arrest against Hilmi, and his picture was distributed to all authorities at the borders to nab him.
Hilmi has been missing since Feb 9, after he was linked with the distribution of Wong's pictures over the Internet.
The case is being investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code for insulting the modesty of a woman, and the punishment is a jail term of up to five years or a fine or both.
