The Star/Asia News Network

32-year-old father had a shock when he spotted a violent ape licking his son's blood off the floor after it had attacked the eight-month-old baby in his house, reported Kosmo!.

According to Hafiz Mohd Zain, his son Mohd Faiz was attacked by the ape in the 6pm incident on Monday, leaving blood splattered on the floor at the house in Taman Murni, Kuantan.

Mohd Faiz was alone in the living room when he was attacked by the ape, which was believed to have harmed three other children previously.

"I didn't realise the ape had entered the house until I heard my son, who was on the mattress in the living room, screaming," said Hafiz.

He was shocked to see the ape biting Mohd Faiz's back and immediately grabbed a basket and hurled it at the animal.

Hafiz said it was even more shocking that as soon as he had rescued his son, the ape returned to the living room to lick the baby's blood on the floor before running of.

Mohd Faiz suffered injuries around his back and hands and was being treated at the Tengku Ampuan Afzan hospital.
