They earn up to RM10,000 ($4,134) a month, but at what cost?
We see them being hauled into vans and trucks by enforcement personnel, often shielding their faces from the cameramen there to cover the raid.
They are often blamed for the breakdown of marriages. They are the "sirens" who lure men into immorality.
These are the "service girls" here from various countries to work in the oldest profession in the world.
Why are they here? To eke out better lives for themselves and their families, they say.
Indeed, for many of them, the streets of Malaysia are paved with gold. They sometimes earn up to five figures a month, for several hours work a week.
Some have even found love, or at least "sugar daddies" who treat them well and take care of their needs here, for a while at least.
But most learn the hard way that money does not come easy and that there is a price to pay for the choice they have made. What's their story?
