A 22-year-old man was kidnapped by a group of men as revenge, stripped naked and filmed taking a dip in a river, reported Harian Metro.
To add to the victim's humiliation, the 51-second recording, taken on a handphone, was then uploaded onto the popular video sharing site YouTube.
The tabloid frontpaged the man's ordeal, which allegedly occurred in October last year at an oil palm plantation in Bukit Selambau near Sungai Petani, Kedah.
The victim, known only as Wan, said the clip has been on YouTube since last December and that he himself had had a recording sent to his handphone by a friend on Jan 13.
Wan, who was also locked up and assaulted in the incident, said he believed that it could have stemmed from his relationship with a 20-year-old girl, the sister of one of the men involved.
He claimed that the gang had accused him of raping and abusing the girl as well as influencing her to drink alcohol and go clubbing.
However, Wan, who denied the allegations, said he had merely scolded the girl for going out with another man.
He said he had been driving alone in Paya Kemunting at around 2am on Oct 27 when a 4WD vehicle overtook his car and forced him to stop by the road.
Wan claimed that he was then dragged into the vehicle, brought to Bukit Selambau and locked up in a room before being stripped naked and assaulted by seven men in their 20s and 30s.
He also alleged that he was hit on his private parts and had his foot slashed and knees stepped on.
After being forced to sign a pledge not to lodge a police report, the men robbed him of RM20 (S$8.43) and his valuables, and left him at a bus station in Sungai Petani at around midnight on Oct 28.
Wan later lodged a police report.
