Woman jogger hit by golf ball

A WOMAN jogger was hit by a golf ball and sustained eye injury in Muar recently.

Faridah Mustaffa, 43, was seriously injured in the right eye and received 10 stitches.

She was hit by the ball while jogging at the Tanjung Emas Recreation Park.

The woman's husband, who did not want to be named, said she was rushed to the Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital.

He said the park is too near the golf course.

It thus poses a danger to joggers and others using the park.

"Part of the park is also not fenced up.

"I hope the management of the golf club will take steps to ensure a similar accident does not happen again," he said. -NST
