GUA MUSANG, Malaysia - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has expressed relief over the safe return of Nayati Shamelin Moodliar.
Najib is happy that the 12-year-old's ordeal has ended and that he has been reunited with his family.
"I had spoken to the boy's father (Shamelin Moodliar) earlier and expressed my concern and offered assistance.
"I had also assigned my officer to help the family liaise with the authorities.
"I am happy and relieved that Nayati is safe and back with his loved ones," said the Prime Minister.
The Dutch boy was bundled into a black sedan as he was walking to the Mont' Kiara International School about week ago.
Nayati's ordeal ended on Thursday after a ransom was paid.
Police have set up a special task force to investigate and track down the two men who had kidnapped the boy.
