Malaysia teen held over sexual assault

KANGAR, Malaysia - Police have detained a 15-year-old youth to facilitate investigations following a report lodged by a businesswoman, who alleged that he forced her 3-year-old daughter to perform oral sex on him.

The teenager, who is also the son of the woman's babysitter, was detained on Friday evening.

Kangar police chief Superintendent Abdul Rahman Mohd Noordin said the youth would be remanded until tomorrow.

"The arrest was made based on the report lodged by the mother of the 3-year-old child."

On Friday, a 43-year-old businesswoman had lodged a police report alleging that the son of the babysitter had forced her daughter to perform oral sex on him.

The 3-year-old is the youngest of four siblings.

She had complained to her mother of severe pain in her private parts and difficulty in urinating.

The child had been sent to Hospital Tuanku Fauziah for a medical examination.

The youth is being investigated under Section 377E of the Penal Code for inciting the girl to perform acts of gross indecency.
