KUALA LUMPUR - A group of 14 army veterans yesterday exercised in front of Bersih co-chairman Datuk S. Ambiga's house in Bukit Damansara to protest against the Bersih 3.0 rally.
The group led by Malay Army Veterans Association (PVTM) president Mohd Ali Baharom marched towards the gate and sang a patriotic song before they started exercising at 8.30am. The group turned their backs towards the gate, bent down and wiggled their posteriors.
They also placed placards with slogans rejecting the rally and Bersih in front of them.
Ali said armed forces veterans had the right to protest against an "enemy" who tried to smear the nation's name and also urged Ambiga to apologise to Malaysian for Bersih.
Ambiga, in an interview with a news portal, said there were elements of threats in the protest but she would let the public to decide on that.
