His philosophy in life is simple: Do the best in every endeavour - even when having fun.
For Mr Chee Ling Fei, 42, a Senior Engineer Assistant, working hard and playing hard has earned him a spanking new computer laptop.
He took two days off work and spent his National Day holiday glued to his computer screen to participate in AsiaOne's Click2Win contest. For his tireless efforts in finding the elusive contest banner, Mr Chee is now the happy owner of an ACER Aspire laptop worth $1,500.
The contest requires him to seek out the special banner which pops up randomly over three days this week in the AsiaOne Motoring section. The more times you click, the higher the chances of winning. AsiaOne is giving away an ACER Aspire laptop every week for the next 6 weeks.
Mr Chee who works in Trisilco, a telecommunications company, has been a loyal AsiaOne reader for 10 years, and likes the free-access site because he finds it a "one-stop information hub".
Besides staying up-to-date with the latest news, Mr Chee says AsiaOne lets him keep track of the stock market, and provides him with an extensive selection of stories under the Business section, ranging from personal finance management to investor relations.
He also enjoys the Wine, Dine and Unwind section. He says he has found the restaurant reviews to be quite reliable and accurate and he picks up a gastronomic tip or two along the way - like which piece of sushi to eat first at a meal.
On his win, Mr Chee says he will use the laptop everyday during his one-hour bus journey from his home in Hougang to his workplace in Tampines.
He says that being able to work on presentations on the road will give him more time to spend with his wife at home.
Although he does not say so, I dare say that his devotion to his wife is another life philosophy he adheres to.
